In September, BDAT launched a staff consultation to get your views on a number of proposals relating to amends to national terms and conditions and the impact on your contracts.
As of 26th October, the Board has received 163 comments and 17 questions, total 180 submissions, via the consultation inbox as well as feedback from the central team and unions on your behalf. This roughly equates to 13.2% comments from our total workforce. Thank you for taking the time to tell us your views.
You Spoke… We listened
The BDAT Board met just before half term to consider your feedback and as a result we have made a number of changes to reflect your feedback. Where we feel we can make changes in light of your concerns we have done so. However, there are still some areas which we feel strongly still need to change.
Most significantly the Board agrees that the removal of reference to national terms and conditions is unsettling and leaves too many areas open to question. This will therefore be reinstated in the first paragraph of all staff contracts.
We are sharing this revised proposal with you today again with a request for further feedback through our consultation inbox: firstname.lastname@example.org. (If you would prefer to submit your responses anonymously you can continue to do this through your school leaders). We will also be extending the consultation deadline until 9.00 am on Monday 12th November to allow staff time to submit their views or pose further questions.
