A Warm Welcome to Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust (BDAT)

Thank you for taking the time to find out about us.

BDAT is a Bradford based Multi-Academy Trust, a charity and company limited by guarantee, set up in 2012 to support and sponsor primary and secondary schools in Bradford. BDAT is governed by a Board of Directors who are responsible for, and oversee, the management of the company.

BDAT is committed to providing high quality education for all the children in our schools through collaboration, challenge and targeted support. As an organisation, we have expanded and diversified significantly over the last six years, growing to become one of the largest Trusts in the West Yorkshire region, educating over 8,500 children and employing nearly 1,500 teachers and support staff.

Our purpose is to maintain and drive rapid school improvements through shared best practice across our growing family of schools and partners. Our pledge is to ensure that every student in a BDAT academy receives a happy high quality education, enabling their competence, confidence and character to thrive. Together we aim to teach and develop the students of today to become lifelong learners tomorrow and beyond. Children are always our priority and collaboration is our strategy: “Because we believe that every child has only one chance at a good education”.

We recognise that if our schools are to succeed, our teachers and school staff are our most valuable asset. We work hard to be the education employer of choice in Bradford.

As a Trust, we are made up of a rich mix of schools, from large city centre secondary academies to small rural primaries with a combination of church, non-church and sponsored and convertor schools in our Trust. We are proud that each school remains central to their community whilst being a member of the wider BDAT family united by a shared vision and aspiration for our students. We remain 100% committed to our original mission set in 2012 of “providing high quality education through the context of Christian belief and practice” and we continue to work with the Anglican Diocese of Leeds, our partners, our schools and staff to achieve this ambition.

We have lots of exciting opportunities within the Trust.  If you want the chance to join a Trust committed to developing the very best teachers and school staff in Bradford, you can find out more information here.
