At BDAT, we believe that every child, young person and member of staff should feel valued, respected and empowered to achieve their full potential. Equality, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of our Trust values of Inclusivity, Compassion, Aspiration, Resilience and Excellence, shaping how we support our schools, learners, families and communities.
Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Objectives 2026-2030 set out a clear four-year commitment to ensuring equity, inclusion and opportunity for all. Through a Trust-wide approach, we are working to remove barriers to participation, promote belonging, celebrate diversity and create environments where everyone can thrive.
We are committed to:
As part of this commitment, BDAT has developed a Trust-wide Inclusion Strategy and is supporting each academy within the Trust to implement inclusive practices that reflect the needs and strengths of their own communities. Progress is reviewed annually to ensure our work remains responsive, impactful and aligned with the evolving needs of our pupils, staff and families.
Through collaboration, continuous improvement and a shared commitment to inclusion, we aim to create a culture where diversity is celebrated, barriers are reduced, and everyone has the opportunity to belong, participate and succeed.
