Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College

Located in South Bradford, Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College prides itself on putting the individual student at the centre of all their policies and focusing on the success and achievement of each of their students at an individual level. The college places particular focus on equipping its students with employability skills and the school has developed learning partnerships with both local primary schools and the University of Bradford, as well as establishing innovative links with local businesses.

The brilliant new building is a superb learning environment and is much valued by students.  The school has also encouraged the local community to use the building, not only for school events, but for community events and for a range of sporting and other activities.

Students are closely assisted at a spiritual and personal level and helped to pursue their interests and talents to their fullest extent, whether that be towards an apprenticeship, for example, or for entry to higher education; the ‘academies’ programme is a notable feature of school life.  The values of wisdom, integrity, justice, compassion and ambition are emphasised across the school.   This approach has helped give the school a local reputation for increasing excellence.
