Students at Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College (BBEC), located on Reevy Road West and part of Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust, are celebrating today after receiving their GCSE results.
Students are collecting a set of pleasing GCSE results, demonstrating their dedication and tenacity over the last two years. The Academy was particularly pleased to see both the attainment and progress gaps between disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged students narrowing in all performance measures, with the same also being the case for students with special educational needs.
BBEC prides itself on a broad and balanced curriculum, with vocational courses performing particularly well this year, including Travel and Tourism, Enterprise and Performing Arts.
BBEC students are now looking forward to progressing onto their chosen further education institutions, including Immanuel College, Dixons, Bradford College, New College Bradford, Calderdale College and Leeds City College, with some choosing A Level courses, others a vocational or apprenticeship route.
While the majority of students have done incredibly well, there are some standout individual achievements. These include:
Speaking on their results, student Frankie Doyle said “I am really pleased with my results and they show that if you work hard you can achieve anything” And Imani Hassan-Smith: “I am so glad I worked so hard leading up to my exams and my hard work has paid off. I have really enjoyed my time at BBEC.”

“I am delighted that the hard work and dedication shown by BBEC students has paid off, with many achieving way beyond their own expectations. I am full of admiration for their resilience, and that of their teachers and support staff. Most importantly, the vast majority of students have achieved the results necessary for their chosen courses in September and I am certain that they will go onto even greater things.”
