News Let’s Hear it for the girls at Belle Vue Girls’ Academy

Students at Belle Vue Girls’ Academy, part of the Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust, are today celebrating impressive GCSE results after two years of hard work and dedication to learning.

Students at the Academy are now looking forward to progressing to the next stage in their education, with the majority of students continuing their studies in Belle Vue’s highly successful Sixth Form to study A Levels and Applied Vocational qualifications.

Standout individual achievements include:

  • Qanita Inayat with eight GCSEs at grade 7 to 9, including three grade 9s, three grade 8s, and Distinction* in Physical Education. Qanita is a great sportswoman and managed to balance representing Yorkshire in cricket during Year 10 along with her studies.
  • Maryam Shah with nine GCSEs at grade 7 to 9, including four grade 9s. Alongside this she wrote and published her first book this academic year.
  • Alishia Bostan with nine GCSEs at grade 7 to 9, including two grade 9s and five grade 8s.
  • Henna Khan with nine GCSEs at grade 7 to 9, including three grade 9s and three grade 8s.
  • Zulekha Ali with eight GCSEs at grade 7 to 9, including four grade 9s and three grade 8s.
  • Rhea Bommisetty with eight GCSEs at grade 7 to 9, including five grade 9s, one grade 8 and a Distinction*.
  • Alishba Rehman who achieved seven GCSEs at grade 7 to 9, and a Distinction* in Creative iMedia.

“We could not be any prouder of the achievements of this year’s GCSE cohort. Our students have achieved an excellent set of results that demonstrate their commitment and determination; they truly deserve their success. As is the case nationally, our students have faced significant challenges during their secondary education, but they have come through it and can be incredibly proud of themselves and what they have achieved. We are now looking forward to seeing our students progress with confidence to the next exciting stage in their education.”
