News Sporting Success at Bradford Forster Academy as students celebrate impressive GCSE results

Students at Bradford Forster Academy, located on Fenby Avenue, are celebrating after receiving their GCSE results today.

After much hard work studying and preparing, students at Bradford Forster, which is part of Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust, are collecting a set of pleasing GCSE results, demonstrating their dedication and tenacity over the last two years.

Subjects that saw particular success included:

  • BTEC Sport, where 27% of students achieved the highest possible grade
  • Cambridge National IT & Enterprise and BTEC Health and Social Care which both exceeded targets at Level 2 Merit and above.

 Bradford Forster students are now looking forward to progressing onto their chosen further education or training institutions, with almost all students already securing college or apprenticeship places for the next phase of their education.

While many students have done well, there are some standout individual achievements. These include:

  • Fatima B. who successfully achieved 10 GCSEs with nine of them at grades 9 and 8, including Grade 9s in Science and 8s in English and Maths.
  • Nelly O. who achieved 10 GCSEs, with three 9s and five 8s among them.
  • Celestina E. who met or exceeded her targets in all her GCSEs with a number of the highest grades.

“The journey through secondary education to reach today has been a disrupted and challenging one for this cohort, but our staff and students have worked incredibly hard to counteract that and we are so proud of all they have achieved.

“The future is bright for our students who have committed to their studies and achieved success, and we are looking forward to seeing them progress in a wide range of future career paths.”
