Students at Bradford Forster Academy are celebrating their hard-earned results as they pick up their GCSE results this morning.
The school, which is located on Fenby Avenue and part of Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust, shared that they are delighted to celebrate another year of improving exam results, with 50% of students achieving a grade 4 or above in both English and maths and 33% securing the higher grade 5 or above.
Students achieved particularly strong outcomes across several subjects. In religious education, 82% achieved grade 4 or above and 71% achieved grade 5 or above. This was followed by sport, where 78% achieved grade 4 or above; art, where 70% achieved grade 4 or above; English literature, where 65% achieved grade 4 or above and 47% achieved grade 5 or above; and Spanish, where 65% achieved grade 4 or above and 44% achieved grade 5 or above.
Students are now set to start their next chapter, which includes places at sixth forms, colleges, apprenticeships and other post-16 destinations.
Among the many individual success stories are:
Collecting his GCSE results today Kayle Coleman, said: “I’m so happy! I genuinely thought I was going to fail, but I ended up with three 8s. A huge thank you to all my teachers for their help and support!”
Daniel Styles, Headteacher at Bradford Forster Academy, said: “Today is first and foremost about our young people. These results represent years of determination, hard work and resilience, and we could not be prouder of what they have achieved.
“Many of our students have overcome challenges along the way, but they have shown real character, remained ambitious and achieved outcomes that will open exciting opportunities for their futures. It is particularly pleasing to see strong performance across a wide range of subjects, reflecting the breadth of talent that exists within our school community.
“Since joining Bradford Forster Academy, I have been continually impressed by the aspirations of our students and the commitment of our staff. Whether our students are progressing to sixth form, college, apprenticeships or employment, we are incredibly proud of them and look forward to seeing what they accomplish next. I wish every member of the Class of 2026 every success for the future.”
