Christ Church Academy, based in Shipley, is a primary school for 210 children between the ages of 3 and 11. As a proudly Christian school, they pride themselves on transmitting the values of their faith to their students and applying them in the everyday running of their school. However, they also strive to give each pupil the ideal conditions in which to express their individuality and explore their unique talents. Their concern lies not only with the social and cultural aspects of a child’s development, but also with their moral and spiritual growth.
Christ Church Academy is a small school, in which the staff works very closely with the parents to ensure the best possible environment is provided to the pupils across all three stages of their primary education. As a result, pupils at this Academy are well-behaved and interested in learning, and show a clear-cut desire to succeed in their studies.
The Academy’s efforts to provide their pupils with the best possible education were acknowledged in the latest OFSTED report about the school, which labelled Christ Church Academy ‘exceptionally caring’, with ‘strong leadership’ and ‘well-planned activities.’ (OFSTED 2016)
Christ Church Academy (previously Windhill Primary School) joined BDAT in November 2013 as the second school to enter the Trust.
