The creative talents of the children of Shipley CE Primary School were celebrated at a recent art exhibition in school.
Artwork from the young Year 1 children right through to those in Year 6 was included as the school hall became Shipley’s own art exhibiting space. Parents, families and local community figures were all invited to see how the children’s art is developed from an inspiring idea to a final piece.
Mr Gavin Hamilton, Head Teacher at Shipley C of E Primary School, said:
“The creative subjects are such a vital part of everything we do here at Shipley CE Primary School. We know how important it is for children to have a purpose and an audience for their work, whether this is through our Music assemblies, DT tasting days or this our first Art Exhibition. Our school motto is ‘Learning Together in Love’ and this is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to see how our children’s love of learning and the love the school gives to our children can lead to some beautiful artwork.”
