News Smiles all around at Immanuel College as students celebrate impressive GCSE results

Immanuel College is celebrating today after students receive another strong set of GCSE results.

Throughout the pandemic, Immanuel College students were committed to their studies and their hard work has been reflected in their brilliant results today.

While all students have achieved fantastic results, there were some exceptional individual achievements. These included:

  • Lewis Firth who successfully achieved a grade 9 in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, English Language, English Literature, Science (Double Award), Religious Studies, Spanish and Film Studies and a grade 8 in Geography
  • Megan Woolias who successfully achieved a grade 9 in Mathematics, English Literature, Science (Double Award), Geography, Religious Studies, Food Technology and French and a grade 8 in Further Mathematics and English Language
  • Samuel Gates who successfully achieved a grade 9 in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, English Language, Science (Double Award) and Religious Studies and a grade 8 in Spanish, English Literature and Citizenship
  • Emma Cai who successfully achieved a grade 9 in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, English Language, and Science (Double Award) and a grade 8 in Religious Studies and History
  • Luke Ayes who successfully achieved a Distinction* in Music, Distinction in BTEC Sport and IT and a grade 6 in both English Language and Literature.

Subjects that saw particular success at the College were Photography where 58% achieved a grade 7 or above, Spanish where 44% achieved a grade 7 or above and Media Studies where 43% achieved a grade 7 or above.

Students are now looking forward to progressing onto their chosen further education institutions, with many remaining at Immanuel College to take their A Levels and BTECs.

“Year 11 have worked incredibly hard throughout their time in Key Stage Four to prepare for these exams. Despite the uncertainty of the last few years, they have demonstrated great character, and this is reflected in the strong results seen. We look forward to seeing those returning to Sixth Form in September and wish all the students the best of luck for the future.”
