News CAROL DEWHURST AWARDED OBE

Carol Dewhurst, CEO of Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust (BDAT), was awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours.

Carol said “I feel hugely privileged and humbled to receive this honour. I am extremely fortunate to work alongside a number of talented school leaders and Trustees and together we strive to improve outcomes and experiences for the children in our schools. This award is recognition of the hard work and commitment of the team at BDAT and the services they provide to education in our city”.

Carol works passionately, relentlessly and with complete commitment in pursuit of the highest standards for all the children in our BDAT family of schools. Carol also gives her professional time generously to the wider improvement of all schools in Bradford and within the Diocese of Leeds by supporting and nurturing school and MAT leadership; this is a timely recognition of her achievement as a significant leader within the education sector in West Yorkshire.”
