News A LEVEL SUCCESS OPENS DOORS FOR STUDENTS AT BELLE VUE GIRLS’ ACADEMY

Students at Belle Vue Girls’ Academy are looking ahead to the future after achieving an excellent set of A Level and Applied Vocational results and securing places at universities and apprenticeships.

The Academy, located on Thorn Lane and part of Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust, is congratulating students as they collect the results that mark the end of their post-16 education and the beginning of the next chapter in their lives.

In A Level subjects, over 40% of students achieved grade A*, A or B, and over 70% of students achieved grade C and above. In Applied Vocational qualifications over 50% of students achieved a Distinction* or Distinction, and 85% of students achieved a Merit or higher, with an overall 100% Pass rate. Students are now looking forward to progressing to university, apprenticeships and employment.

There were many remarkable individual success stories, reflecting the determination, resilience and aspirations of this year’s cohort. Among this year’s achievements:

 

 

 

Mehak Iqbal achieved grade As in English Literature and sociology, and a C in psychology. She will be going to Bradford College to study Teaching in Education. Mehak said “I am delighted with my result. Although I found the experience challenging, all the hard work and perseverance has paid off.”

 

 

 

 

 

Ayesha Mahmood achieved grade A in criminology, a Distinction* in applied science, and a B in sociology. Ayesha is now going to study Clinical Technology at Bradford University. Ayesha said “I am incredibly grateful to all the staff members, particularly the Inclusion Team, for their unwavering support and for making this journey possible.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

Syeda Aliba achieved grade A in sociology and Bs in chemistry and mathematics and has secured a place to study chemical engineering at the University of Bradford. With an exciting future in engineering ahead of her, Syeda said “Always do your best “

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Emaan Btool achieved A* in English literature, a B in sociology, and a Distinction* in health and social care. She has secured a place to study speech and language therapy at Leeds Beckett University. Emaan said “I am blessed for everything it could not have been possible without my parents and teachers.”
