Students at Belle Vue Girls’ Academy are celebrating today after receiving their A Level and Applied Vocational results after two years of dedication and commitment.
The Academy, part of Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust, is celebrating an increase in top A Level results with 43 per cent of grades at A*, A or B, and 83 per cent of Applied Vocational grades at Distinction*, Distinction or Merit, and a 100 per cent pass rate.
Students are now looking forward to progressing to university to pursue their ambitions to study a diverse range of disciplines including medicine, law, accountancy and finance, speech therapy and paramedical science.
While all students have done incredibly well, there are some standout individual achievements, including:
- Kashaf Nawaz received an A* in Biology, Chemistry and English Literature. Kashaf did extensive work experience whilst in Sixth Form, confirming that she wanted to study medicine at university. She will now take up a place at York University to study Medicine. On receiving her results she said, “I am so happy all my efforts paid off!”
- Reeva Iqbal achieved A* in Chemistry and As in Biology and Maths. Reeva completed her secondary education in Pakistan and joined Belle Vue Sixth Form in 2022. Reeva is passionate about medicine and helping people and has decided to pursue a career in medicine. She has a place at Lancaster University and is looking forward to the challenges of a medical degree and fulfilling her long held ambition. Reeva said, “Always remember there is no substitute for hard work. Believe in yourself and more importantly believe in god – everything will work out.”
- Noor Jangahir achieved A* in Sociology and Bs in English Literature and Psychology. Noor has a passionate love of English; she is the school laureate and has had her own book published. Noor plans to use her love of language to help other people and has a place to study Speech Therapy at Leeds Beckett University. First, she is taking a year out and has an apprenticeship working with the Commonwealth Theatre Company. Noor said, “I am so pleased with my grades and so grateful to my teachers who have supported me along the way. Studying at this sixth form has been lovely, I am so glad I decided to stay at Belle Vue. I have enjoyed the environment and the people.”
- Aleeza Amin achieved A* in English Literature and As in Religious Studies and Business Studies. Aleeza is planning to study Accounting and Finance at Bradford University and hopes to eventually qualify as an accountant. Aleeza said, “Never give up. The stress and the worries will be worth it. It was such a long journey and I overcame the obstacles and have reached my goal. Forever thankful to my teachers who have provided me with best learning experiences and also the best life experiences and I can’t wait to progress into the future.”
- Husna Iftikhar achieved grade A in Biology and grade B in Chemistry and Maths. Husna is now going to study Optometry at Bradford University. Husana said, “Keep persevering don’t give up, hard work always pays off I’m very happy with my results, two years of stress and hard work has paid off and I am going to my first-choice university to do my first-choice course”
- Iman Din Arbab achieved grade C in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. Iman arrived in the UK in 2015 via Pakistan and Spain and has made phenomenal progress during her time at Belle Vue. She has applied to study paramedical Science at Coventry university as she feels passionately about the role of the paramedic and that she is ideally suited to the role. Iman said, “There is unlimited support from the teachers and staff at BVGA. It was tough and memorable journey, but the hard work and dedication got me through it; it all pays off.”
- Doris Piri achieved a Distinction* in Applied Law, and a grade B in Sociology. Doris has been a key player in the “Near Neighbours” project which brought together young people from diverse communities. Doris wants to study law to help people from marginalised communities and has a place at Huddersfield University.

Our Year 13 students have been an absolute asset to the school; they are remarkable young women, the leaders and change makers of tomorrow. We wish them all the very best with their next steps.”
