News Extraordinary BDAT Bakers bring our Final Tenth Year Celebration to a close.

Pupils and staff across Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust (BDAT) have been hard at work decorating BDAT-themed birthday cakes to celebrate the Trust turning ten.

Staff and pupils were encouraged to let their creative instincts shine whilst decorating a birthday cake, channelling the Trust’s core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Aspiration, Resilience and Excellence.

Over 40 cakes from across the Trust were entered into the competition. The winners all took home special prizes, including a #BDAT10 logo apron for the pupils and a voucher for Betty’s Tea Rooms for staff winner Gemma.

The three champions were:

  • Staff member, Gemma Whiteley from St. Oswald’s C of E Primary Academy. Gemma created a showstopper, featuring the Trust’s motto and logos of each of its academies.
  • Primary pupil, Adeena Ullah from Shipley C of E Primary School. Adeena’s floral icing skills wowed the judges.
  • Secondary pupil, Amber James from Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College. Amber’s pink creation was truly fit for a celebration.

A huge well done to everyone who took part and thank you for helping celebrate our birthday!
